GASMASK TERRÖR - "Black Sun/Fake Gold" LP
GASMASK TERRÖR dishes out eleven songs of pure, distorted, high-end punk fukkn rock without any of the trappings that might turn you off to the current wave of noise punkers taking over the streets with their mysterious shoestring headbands. This shit here don't need echo-drenched vocals to do the trick; GASMASK TERRÖR lets their Swedish riffs and garbage-can snare drum do the talking, and then peak the mix with high-end crunch on the guitars competing with a white cymbal wash and extra skull-shattering attitude from the singer. They frequently slow the pace to a steady fist-banging tempo and let the songs really shine – everything here will get stuck in your head for days... and don't even get me started on the solos (there aren't many, but they are perfect). Love it.
(Robert Collins, MAXIMUMROCKNROLL #332)
